Designating a Gift
When you make a gift to the FAMC Foundation, you have the opportunity to designate your gift to the program of your choice. Your gift supports the purchase of equipment, the improvement of technology, or the endowment.  For assistance in determining which area you would like to benefit, feel free to call Kristen Lee @ 1-605-598-6262, Ext. 1041.  Or E-mail kristen.lee@faulktonmedical.org .

Gifts of Appreciated Assets

Gifts of appreciated assets often offer valuable tax advantages. You may receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full value of the gift. You may also save on capital gains and state taxes.

Planned Giving

Through planned giving, you can make provisions for FAMC to receive a gift at some time in the future, usually after your death. There are a variety of planned giving options that provide significant tax advantages, both to you and your heirs.

Specific Bequests

Specific bequests made through a will direct a designated amount or specific estate assets to FAMC.

Residual Bequests

Residual bequests made through a will consist of all or part of the estate that is left after specific bequests are honored.

Contingent Bequests

Contingent bequests made through a will designate assets to FAMC in the event of a death of another beneficiary.

Trust Remainder Bequests

Trust remainder bequests are created by a will or lifetime trust agreement that provides an income stream to a loved one and consist of all or part of the remaining trust principal after the death of the beneficiary.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

A charitable remainder trust is a separately invested trust created by a gift of cash or appreciated property.  The trust pays the donor or designated beneficiaries an income stream for life or a specified period of time. At the termination of the trust, the assets are transferred to FAMC Foundation.

Charitable Lead Trusts

The charitable lead trust FAMC over a period of years. When the trust expires, the remainder is distributed to the donor or other beneficiaries.

Charitable Gift Annuities

Personal annuity funds are established between a donor or donors and FAMC Foundation. The donor uses a gift of cash or appreciated property (such as stock) to fund the annuity. The annuity pays the donor or designated beneficiary income for life. At the end of the designated time the balance in the annuity is transferred to the FAMC Foundation.
