Emergency Care
FAMC's Emergency Department is equipped with the
latest technology and staffed by experienced healthcare professionals.
Emergency care is available 24-hours per day. Working closely with other
departments including laboratory, imaging, and other ancillary services assures
prompt results to medical tests.
The new
Emergency Department was designed with patient safety, privacy, and access in
mind. Complemented by the efficient design and proximity of ancillary
departments, patient movement to other departments for testing is minimized.
Ambulance
Services
The Faulk County Ambulance service provides Basic and
Intermediate EMT services. For transports to another facility, paramedic-staffed ambulance services are utilized. For rapid transport, air
ambulance services from Aberdeen, Sioux Falls, and Rapid City are utilized.
CAREFLIGHT
With CAREFLIGHT, Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen
brings state-of-the-art medical technology to people in the region and people to
the technology--often administering trauma care in the air.
Medical air transport often exceeds $4,000. Avera St. Luke's
CAREFLIGHT offers a membership of $49 per year to give you and all immediate
family members in need of emergency medical transport full protection.
