Session 2: November 3 - December 18 A 45 minute class schedule that uses a Body Ball and different sizes of hand-weights to achieve a well rounded workout. The class focuses on weight training, using different training techniques to help 'sculpt' the body. However, a cardiovascular effect is also achieved as the class moves from one activity to another in a smooth flowing pattern. This class is taught on a multi-level format to meet the varying needs of its participants. The Right Weigh, a lifelong weight management program, guided by a licensed and registered dietitian, is a 6-session series of classes that teaches participants proper nutritional guidelines that can assist in weight management and overall healthy lifestyle changes. Cessation - Why Do We Care? Tobacco addiction causes 438,000 deaths in the U.S. each year, making it the leading preventable cause of deaths. In addition, some 8.6 million Americans live with a serious smoking-related illness. Of the 46 million current smokers, 70 percent say that they would like to quit. Without assistance, less than five percent are able to stop smoking. The presenters will discuss the health risks of smoking cessation methods currently available and the latest information that will help you quit smoking for good. Life with Diabetes - Group
